Much like AOL Instant Messenger, Katie Holmes first landed on our radar in the '90s. Both were cool, exciting, and one of the hottest topics of discussion with friends. We can’t say our original screen names have stuck around, but Holmes — an actress who continues to impress us on television, film, the Broadway stage, and, soon, in her first directorial role — certainly has. And she's keeping the spirit of the late '90s alive...perhaps not in the way you'd expect.
