Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes shell out $5,000 for daughter Suri's
lavish ice skating experience in New York City

The A-list couple also had hot chocolate and gourmet treats delivered to the rink

Ah, to be the daughter of an A-list power couple.
 
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spared no expense on their 5-year-old daughter, Suri, during a recent trip to the ice skating rink at New York’s Rockefeller Center.
 
While the daddy-daughter duo opted to skate with the public (as Katie watched rink side), a source tells the Daily News that the family trip was anything but down-to-earth.
 
Cruise shelled out $5,000 to rent out the rink’s “Igloo,” a VIP-like area where paying customers can bypass the lines and warm up after taking a spin on the ice.
 
“Tom rented it for an entire session so no one else could use it,” the source said.
 
The admission price for the hour-and-a-half session runs $75 a person. However the Cruise-Holmes clan isn’t your average customer.
 
In fact, the source tells us Suri’s famous parents snubbed the venue’s refreshments and opted to cater their own family day with gourmet treats.
 
TomKat had hot chocolate from Serendipity 3 and sweets from Jacques Torres brought in “especially for Suri,” said the insider.
 
Christmas may turn out to be exceptionally sweet for Cruise’s daughter.
 
According to In Touch Weekly, Suri’s Christmas list is chock full of super-luxe gifts - which has an estimated value of a whopping $130,000.
 
Among the items the pint-sized fashion plate reportedly asked for are a pair of $15,000 diamond earrings and $1,500 gowns to “make her look like a princess.”
 
Her most extravagant request? A pony.
 
Suri apparently has her eyes set on a $100,000 horse, and according to the magazine, Cruise has already found a stable for it in Beverly Hills.
 
"Suri is very mature and knows what she wants," a source told In Touch. "Tom and Katie love the holidays and always go overboard … they are buying Suri absolutely everything she asks for."
