Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are 'Romantics' at Heart

Etertainment Tonight

Katie Holmes told "ET" about her wedding day jitters before exchanging vows with Tom Cruise. Now married for nearly four years, the dedicated couple posed happily ever after at the premiere of 'The Romantics.'

"I just remember you kind of mock up that day to be so serious and so important, it's your wedding day," said Katie of her lavish Italian affair. "I just remember like, 'Oh my God, what if people don't know where to sit?' Like those little tiny things. But actually it's all going to be okay."

Costar Josh Duhamel also made a dapper groom in real life when he said his "I dos" to wife Fergie. He said of the film's storyline, "It isn't sort of a glossy perspective on marriage, it's sort of the real dilemmas people go through leading up to a marriage and often times the conflict that goes with it. Luckily I didn't have to go through any of this."

The beautiful Malin Akerman gave away the secret to her heart. "I'm not the kind of girl who's ready for a poem and roses," she blushed. "I'm very easy…cook me a nice home-cooked meal and I am so happy. That's the most romantic thing you could ever do."

Also on the stars' minds was the health struggle of Michael Douglas, who is currently undergoing treatment to fight throat cancer. Josh called his golf buddy "one of my heroes," adding that "he's a guy that I watched growing up and I wish him nothing but the best."

'The Romantics,' also starring Anna Paquin, Candice Bergen, Adam Brody, Dianna Agron, Rebecca Lawrence, and Elijah Wood brings love to select theaters on September 10.
