Katie Holmes’ ‘All We Had’ To Hit Theaters In December

Gravitas Ventures
has acquired North American rights to All We Had, which
marks the directorial debut of Katie Holmes, who also stars in the film adaptation
of Annie Weatherwax’s 2014 novel. Stefania Owen, Luke Wilson, Richard Kind, Mark
Consuelos, Judy Greer and Eve Lindley co-star. Gravitas said it will release the pic December 9
in theaters and on demand.
The coming-of-age drama, which world premiered in the spring at Tribeca, centers on 15-year-old Ruthie Carmichael (Owen), who makes the best of the her mother Rita’s (Holmes) hard luck. From escaping an abusive boyfriend to living out of their car and going flat broke, the duo continues to find themselves in search of a home and stability. Josh Boone and Jill Killington co-wrote the script.
Holmes also produced alongside Jane Rosenthal, Berry Welsh and Katie Mustard. James L. Dolan, Boone and Killington executive produced.
The deal was negotiated by Gravitas CEO Nolan Gallagher and ICM Partners on behalf of the filmmakers.
