Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Katie Holmes is teaming up with "Hairspray" director Adam Shankman and "So You Think You Can Dance" creator Nigel Lythgoe and judge Carrie Ann Inaba to launch a scholarship fund for dancing.
Mrs. Tom Cruise, who is set to appear on the special 100th episode of the FOX dancing show, is calling her good cause the "Dizzy Feet Foundation."
The scholarship will help underprivileged youth get opportunity to take part in dance programs and win grants to enroll in accredited dance studios, according to Daily Variety.
She said, "I think it's important to let kids experience music and dance. Every child should have the opportunity to discover what it is they like and have access to the very best in that pursuit."
Holmes will be appearing on the show on July 23 as special performer at their 100th episode special and also to promote the scholarship fund.
